Today we went snowboarding in Nagano. So much fun, I want to do it again and again. We came in a group of three cars. Went with Nashidaians, students of Yamanashi University.
We arrived at this huge ski resort.
I got ready. Reza lent me his whole suit and board.
It was like crap, the first time. I kept falling off and sliding to the side. Reza was my personal coach for the day. He and Kuyu both told me to concentrate on braking, something I couldn’t do so well. That’s until Reza told me to control my legs. I focused on my legs and ankle and voila! It worked! I could go down smoothly.
Before I knew it, I was way down. I went on the cable four times I think. Apart from us first timers and Reza, the rest went up to 10 rounds.
My nose was bleeding. It was almost snowing this time, but it wasn’t cold at all. Not as cold as Yokohama, at least.
The girls helping Kak Net out.
We then took a break at the cafe there. We can’t really eat anything there, so Reza got us prawn crackers and cafe latte (Japan’s cafe latte is GOOD). I felt like having ice cream. Just see the fresh berries here! So yummy. I thought they were toppings- so I told Reza I wanted ice cream with raspberries on top. Paid to the lady in charge.
And I got this instead!
Reza then told me he saw the lady blended the raspberries with the ice cream in a machine. Hence, this! OMG the taste is TO DIE FOR. Like SEDAP GILA I’m not kidding. A lot, lot, lot more delicious than any Haagen Dazs offering. So fresh, so delicious!
I wanted more, but Reza told me not to membazir. That’s a ￥460 (RM15.60) ice-cream. Wait. Maybe ￥640 (RM21.60). Either way it’s expensive for ice-cream without a label! But really, I would pay for this everytime I go to Klcc if they ever sell this.
Then everyone wanted to taste it. I really should have gotten two.
Final round before the closing.
It was snowing by this time.
And now I get to say that I’ve snowboarded. Thanks for the opportunity, Reza and Nashidaians! I would do it again and again and again.
p/s: Don’t be discouraged by stories of people breaking their legs at first attempt. Sheesh.
