We’ve got rain, non-stop for the past few days, that it’s now so cold.
I’ve started revising for the finals and going to this sushi shop I recently discovered called Hana Sushi Cafe, 2 stops away from home and a walking distance along St. Kilda Road.
The shop is small and empty, while the view, so serene, I guess it’ quite a strategic place for studying. Not only that, the couple managing the shop were Malaysians who had just migrated. The uncle was an engineer earning 5-digits back in his hometown, while the aunty was also a professional in the corporate world. However, they chose to move here so that their children could get Australian education as locals. The cafe was run by the couple and sometimes, by the kids. It’s really feels homely.
They’re very friendly that they even allowed me to alter the content of my bento. The perks of visiting a new and small shop — they’re very flexible!
“Well, we put chicken and beef teriyaki in the bento, but we can combine what you want.”
“I don’t take meat, please fill my bento with salmon sashimi.”
Sashimi bento did not exist in the menu, but they prepared it for me within 10 minutes and I was thrilled to be given really fat and fresh sashimi. The lady who served me the bento made a mistake by adding chicken sushi rolls, but when she noticed she quickly replaced them with salmon rolls.
I was glad it was raining. You know how soothing it is to study, have good food and a warm water in front of a clear window, while looking outside at the traffic when its dark and drizzling? If you don’t, give it a try.
I’m off. I’ve signed out from Facebook to avoid being distracted and disturbed by unnecessary feeds. Distinction average here I come!
