The Great Ocean Road… again!

I went to the Great Ocean Road again last week, but this time, with my parents and Asna. The weather was predicted to be very rainy, but it was not! The sky was friendlier than the last time. Rented a car just a night before, then driven by our tour guide of the day (Malaysia Hall has its very own tour guides, if you’re interested). We found out that going on our own is much, much cheaper than going on a luxury coach. Plus, we had more time to relax instead of rushing from one point to another.

Anyway, gorgeous weather translates to gorgeous pictures. The sky was utterly blue and as for the ocean… Well, see for yourself 🙂

We stopped by Apollo Bay for some sandwich, prayers and picnic underneath a tree. Asna and I had the award-winning ice cream. I even brought her to the beach, although actually contested by parents.

We took our sneakers off, played on grass and then ran to the beach. Despite the sun’s presence, it was still cold credit to the wind. The sands kept us warm though.

The spot above was new to me. This lookout area was so huge, with several points (at least ten) that we decided to skip most of it the last time I went. It was almost magical. There was a small waterfall, a cave and a few apostles here. Made me feel like jumping off a cliff into the blue ocean.

And of course, our final destination — the Twelve Apostles.

We then had fish and chips at Port Campbell. It was too hot by then and when it’s hot, my photo-taking mood vanishes… Anyway, we managed to arrive safely at Malaysia Hall around 10PM, which is really good, since the tour is estimated to take 12 hours.

Asna kept on saying “I’m so happy today!” and “Today is a great day!” LOL. I bet what she liked most were the beach and ice-cream. Anyway, I’m glad I get to go for this time and the fact that the weather’s just great while my parents are visiting.

You were wearing too little to protect you from the winds (maybe you took your coat off?) and the sun!

The people who offered the service are no longer residing there. You can look up XploreVIC Private Tours on Facebook, the private tour company established by one of the former residents of Malaysia Hall.
