I’ve come to realize how my shopping pattern has changed. After working for almost two months, I no longer wander around malls like I used to. I don’t look for clothes much. I look for food. Suddenly having the same jeans to wear every weekend is enough. If there’s an advantage of working in a relatively serious environment (when it comes to dressing up), it’s the chance to suit up and being surrounded by dashing people who suit up. If there’s a disadvantage in the same area, it’s the inability to wear what you want, when you want it.
People go through this phase once they move to another stage in their lives, so I’m adjusting. Though I think I have a lot of work-appropriate tops, I’m stocking other NECESSITIES little by little.
What are my necessities? Okay, this is actually a note to self, a reminder so that I’d deviate less.
Not a secret, but recently I’ve been on ASOS almost daily checking for possible additions to my working wardrobe. Why’s ASOS important? They have MY size and I don’t have to go out and try multiple pieces from different department stores since I can watch their catwalks. Quite cheap also when there are discounts. I do that. I wait till they slash the price off.
To the ones who requested, I’ll provide a simple tutorial for ASOS noobs tomorrow or during the weekends. Don’t I sound like an ASOS advocate HAHA.
Looking at the state of my cramped wardrobe now… I need to clear a lot of things out. It needs space! I’ll just take this opportunity to announce that I’m letting go some of my less work-friendly clothes, accessories and whatnot, bit by bit on ShopStripped.
