The tutu sweater

Like how I learned the names of headband designers, I came to know Stacey Bendet's Alice + Olivia through the idiot box. At that time Gossip Girl was a phenomenon - almost everyone I knew was hooked to it. Even though I wasn't too fond of the series, I read blogs which had the sole purpose of identifying clothes that were featured in the show. The label has been consistently coming up with very nice pieces every now and then (especially some the dresses and jackets!).



The two-piece Brielle tutu sweater is something I've a crush on. The grey sweater, on it's own, is plain. Maybe made a little glamour with metallic threads (like a sweater I've been wearing in my latest holiday trip). However, the tutu incorporates a sense of fun in the sweater - suddenly it's dark and girly. I'd rock this with wool tights and pearls.

It's so obvious that I am on an Alice + Olivia high since I got my tweed jacket last month. I suppose it's a good thing that the things I want in my size are either sold out or aren't available for international orders. I'm happy just admiring them from a distance.
