Sometimes I wonder whether the prices of some designer dresses are justified, especially when it concerns the lack of quality. Disappointing to see sometimes – cheap fabric and frays after close inspection and with that price tag? Almost convinced that it’s all in the label. Not so willing to make a purchase.
It took a big markdown for me to consider Michele Smith’s Milly colorful sheath dress, posted earlier here. Glad I did because I’m quite happy with it. From the print, fabric (Italian silk!), seams and zipper, pretty good – except for the fact that the size runs a little big. Where is it made? It’s exclusively in the States. Not saying these factors justify the price tag, but it’s nice to know I got something good… and at a discount.
While most of my day and work clothes are plain and minimal, I plan to continue indulging in well-made colorful dresses for play (need to limit myself to one per season at most or else I’ll end up eating pasir for the rest of the year) and I’m going to make sure that I wear them often!
