Asna

Oh Asna’s English!

Asna’s quite obsessed with Oh My English these days. I dare say she views the show more than her usual cartoons now. Since she hogs the TV most of the time, you can imagine how many Oh My English episodes I’ve unwillingly watched.
When she’s not watching TV, she looks them up on Youtube like and laughs like it’s the funniest thing on earth. When she catches herself using incorrect English, she’d blurt out, “OH MY ENGLISH!!!”

When I utter anything grammatically incorrect, she’d correct it:

“I want to go somewhere on December”

“ONNNN Monday, INNN December. Oh your English!”

Quite annoying, but at least she’s learning stuff.

She was watching this part where they teach the viewers how to determine nationalities according to countries. Had my ‘Nations and Nationalities’ quiz with Asna right after that:

“What are people in England called?”
“English!”

“What are people in Indonesia called?”
“Indonesians!”

“What are people in Netherlands called?”
“Dutch!” (I was impressed for a moment)

“What are people in Vietnam called?”
“Vietnese!”

“What are people in Thai called?”
“Thai-nese!

LOL. Practice still required, but again, at least she’s learning!

If kids are watching this more than they watch cartoons, then the show is pretty damn effective I would say!

You have a point. She’s even singing the OME song more than radio songs these days.
