My love affair with James Jeans began with the first pair I purchased months ago. Ever since I was introduced to Twiggy, the super skinny jeans-legging from James Jeans, I think I’ve been spoiled by its soft material and pleased by its cut, color and fit, that I never wore jeans from other labels after that – I’m not kidding.
Recently I got myself another pair of Twiggy, this time in a dark grey shade called Slate II after months of deliberation. It’s a neutral and highly versatile color, I think it’s a great fit for my neutral shades laden wardrobe. A good match to the metallic grey Balenciaga bag that I carry 24/7, too!
Slate II jeans are made with a material softer than the China Doll, almost velvety but its durability nonetheless acceptable. They run smaller, too, so instead of getting them in size 23 (as I did with China Doll), I ordered them in 25. I had a trouble getting into them at first. Since I’ve been successfully and slowly gaining weight, I was wondering whether I should have just gotten a size larger. After some wear, though, the material had started to stretch according to the shape of my legs. The jeans now fit perfectly and are now my current favorite!
Another carefully considered and successful purchase – definitely a great addition to my curated wardrobe.
James Jeans Twiggy in Slate II retails for $141 at Shopbop.
