My French Sole patent pumps

It’s been about a year since I purchased my first French Sole patent cap toe flats. I wore them until they’re battered and bruised. When I could no longer wear them, I wore my other black flats until they’re as battered and bruised. After that, I’m out of black flats. No, not just black flats. I totally ran out of flats!

For the past year, my mum has been dragging me to every other French Sole event, trying to get me to buy a pair of new black flats. When we’re inside the store, she would tell the sales associate how sad my state was, suffering in shoes too tight and developing worse bunions.

It took me a while to find a replacement, though. Shopping for shoes is always a challenge for me. It’s as if my feet were designed to only feel comfortable in 1% of the shoes that I put on! Which explains why I buy like, only a pair or two a year.

Late last month, I found a comfortable pair of new black flats from French Sole (at last!) after trying out half a dozen of new styles with my mum, at the tea party — flats in super soft patent leather in the Henrietta cut. It’s been a fortnight or so and so far, they’re the most comfortable flats I’ve worn in a while. They look so good!

Have you tried Geox? Their Lola flats are the best!

I have. One of the most comfortable pair I’ve ever had! I tried going back to Geox, but the flats are now too narrow to accommodate my now larger bunions.

I bought a pair of flats for $80 from Betts and they are totally ruined now! But I still wear them cause I cant be bothered looking for another pair. That’s good that it’s thongs season now 🙂

I totally understand! I wore the ruined flats because couldn’t be bothered at first, too. But look for a new pair before they become totally unwearable. Enjoy summer!
