The wedding rehearsal was held on the weekday. Hence most of the bridal entourage (consisting six people) couldn’t make it. Except for the sole Flower Girl and I.
Before we appointed her to become the Flower Girl, my mum and I were concerned whether Asna’s capable of being the first person to grace the red carpet before the bride & groom enter the reception hall. But she agreed and accepted that it’s a responsibility of hers.
During the rehearsal, I tried to brief her once more before we began walking on the red carpet, carrying a serious tone. But she kept on interrupting me.
“Asna, you must remember that you have…”
“An impossible mission!”
“No, I wanted to say a big responsibility.”
“And I only have five chances, right? Or I’ll be fired.”
She put up a hand, showing her five fingers.
Then she left.
