(This happened a few months ago, kept in draft and only published now.)
So a few friends from separate worlds wanted to see me before I tied the knot. The conversations I had went like:
“What are you going to do this weekend?”
“Stay at home.”
There was still so much to do that it didn’t make any sense to go out.
I also wanted to spend more time inside my room before I transfer half of the ownership to my soon to be husband.
Amanda asked when I’d be free and I told her I won’t be. Seeing my reluctance to socialize, she blurted it out:
“I’m planning for your bridal shower!”
Didn’t think it’s necessary, but since someone’s planning…
Then I found out she had already listed out a few options for the venue:
“Hyatt 38 or Majestic Drawing Room?”
She contacted the other bridesmaids from out Whatsapp group and began making arrangements.
So there. The weekend before the big day, the five of us had an afternoon tea at Majestic Hotel’s Drawing Room. When I arrived, Aishah took out a white wedding veil headband for me to wear.
The well-decorated Drawing Room had glass walls, so I waved when people from the outside stare at me, the girl in the spooky veil. Some waved back lol.
What did we do? Talk … and ate until we were so full. The portion was pretty generous, I ended up bringing bag a couple of paper bags filled with scones and desserts home.
Not only that, I also brought new lingeries home (including a thong and some see-through dress), courtesy of the girls. All of you want to be remembered during sexy time, eh? -_-‘
My last gathering as a single lady ended that evening.
When I got home, I received a text from Amanda:
“I just want you to have a good time.”
Aww. Didn’t think she was capable of being this sweet, ever.
