Asna has always had an interest in properties.
Like if we’re driving in a new neighborhood, the first thing she notices is the kind of houses that are there. When she reads newspapers, among the things she will go through is the classifieds, to read about properties and their prices.
Months ago I noticed that a large field near our house was closed for construction. I found out that the developers are going to build this “integrated development” that’s going to consist of residences, retail stores and offices. Looks like a very ambitious project for a small township!
In reality, I know owning a nice home at Bukit Jelutong — for me — isn’t possible. In fact it’s not realistic — the smallest unit at the services apartment (which is a little larger than my bedroom) is set at half a million ringgit! But I registered my interest anyway, to be informed of its progress.
Just a few days ago, I received an invite to the sales gallery for a preview of the units there. It’s open for booking.
Guess who’s most excited about the preview? Asna.
She took the invitation card and read it. After that she studied the picture of the development — especially the serviced apartments, the gardens and the pools.
“Are you going to buy a house here?”
“If I can afford it!”
I think she was hoping that I would.
“Maybe if you move here, I can ask Babah to send me to you house and I can sleep there for a night.”
“When I visit you I can go to the pool. So nice.”
Already daydreaming -_-‘
A while ago, I was trying to look for the invitation card to the preview but I couldn’t find it. Then I asked Asna, who just came home from school.
“Asna, do you know where the invitation card is?”
“Oh, it’s in my bag.”
“You kept it in your bag?”
She took out the card from her schoolbag.
“I wanted to show it to my friends.”
That’s when I noticed what she wrote at the top of the card:
“C.b.’s dream home”
My dream home, eh? -_-‘
This weekend, the first thing we’re going to do is to go to the sales gallery to check this development out. Asna’s super excited, you have no idea.
