Bento at Hotto Motto

Looking forward to have some cheap eats in Tokyo?

Try Hotto Motto!

Hotto Motto is a chain bento restaurant. You’ve probably seen Japanese bento being sold in supermarkets and unless they come from Isetan, they probably don’t look that edible.

But Hotto Motto… is in a class of its own.

Reza introduced this “fast food bento” to me (who else kan?). At first I didn’t “get” this, the concept of eating rice and these things he considered lauk and he was offended because that’s his staple food there lolol. However, the taste grew on me after that. Whenever I see Hotto Motto across the street now, I’d get excited especially when I’m starving.

OK, it may not look sedap gila, but it’s actually quite layan.

Price wise? Cheap! A bento costs around ¥270 to ¥500 (approximately RM10-RM15).

Hotto Motto is available throughout the city. Just keep an eye on its logo!

I don’t think this place is halal certified — I just make sure I ordered seafood. I’ll write something about the halal food in Japan!
