The same shade of gray

I was inside the restroom of Bangsar Village when I caught a glimpse of the bag of the lady who just came in. It was a City with gold hardware, in a mind-blowing gray.

 Gris Pyrite Mini City

I couldn’t stop looking at it, so to make my obvious stare less awkward, I said to her:

“That’s a really nice color.”

“Thanks!”

I was curious to know when she got it, just so I could figure out the exact name of the color. Then, you know, go hunt for it later.

“When did you get it?”

“Hmm. More than a year ago.”

Wait, there’s such a grey released just recently and I missed it? There was no way I could’ve missed this!!!

Dengan rasa tak puas hati, I went online and started to go through the Balenciaga color charts again, year by year. Then… it hit me.

The gray the lady was wearing was Gris Pyrite, the color of my existing gray Balenciaga bag -_- Obviously I haven’t been using it that much XD

I took it out and began using it again, completely falling in love with the color once more <3

My takeaway from this is, that sometimes what you desire is what you already have, but forgotten. So always be aware and appreciative of what you have 🙂

Do you have any fading issue with your Bbags? I want to purchase one but I read at tpf that some Bbags fades after a few years.

Depends on the color, really. Pinks and black fare well so far, but not shades of blue. Also if you put them out in the sun too much the color can fade.
