I went on a shoe hunt to look for comfortable casual shoes for walking. Some of you suggested that I go to Rockport, so I did. So so so glad to know — if it weren’t mentioned in the comments I wouldn’t have known what Rockport is! 😆
So how was my Rockport experience? The shoes at Rockport were extremely comfortable!
Tried on several but my heart was set on the Total Motion Bow Driving Moc. It’s the most comfortable of the lot! Provides plenty of support for the arch and ample space for the bunions and it’s casual enough to be worn on different occasions.
The only concern I had was that the sizes they had in store didn’t feel right for me. The nearest size that they had to my size was a 7 and it was still too tight. I figured a pair that’s 1/2 size larger would’ve been great for my feet, but the stores in KL weren’t carrying 1/2 sizes for this particular style. Also, it’s so expensive in KL, at somewhere around RM750 retail, RM550 after the discount 😥
So where did I go? Online. Mana lagi 😆
Ordered the mocs at the Rockport US website. They were also having this offer at the time, so I bought them for less than 1/3 of the price in KL (they’re back at full price now). Woohoo 😀 The shoes were shipped to my US address and later to my address back home.
They arrived just before my adventure!
If the size 7 at the store was a little tight, I expected these that are 1/2 size larger to properly fit. They turned out to be too big WTF! Exactly why I try not to shop for shoes online, actually, shit like this happens. Mama then gave me insoles to place underneath the Rockport insoles and voila, they’re now perfect to wear!
I ran from the aerotrain to the gate with no issues just a few nights ago 😆
Think I’ll be loyal to Rockport from now on 😀
